Scotch Marine Boilers
Prior to 1974 Cyclotherm used all Drop Forged Steel Plates – 3 x 4 Curved and 3 ½ x 4 ½ Curved. 3 x 4 were for 32”, 36” and 54” Diameter Shells, mainly Oswalds PHH116 plate. After 1974, Cyclotherm used Ames Iron Works patterns and switched to Cast Iron. The cast iron plates are drilled, tapped and sealed in with the stud.
